The statement comes after growing speculation in trade circles and on social media whether the legal battle could affect the release or content of the film.
Tips Films issues clarification on Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai amid legal battle with Pooja Films; Says the film is an ‘original story’
In an official public notice shared recently, the makers addressed the rumors and clarified their stand on the matter. “It has come to our notice that there is a buzz in the trade and among the public about our film “Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai” (“Film”).”
The statement emphasized the originality of the project and rejected any notions regarding similarities with other films. “Tips, Ramesh Taurani ji, David Dhawan ji, along with the cast and crew, would like to clarify that the film is an original story and screenplay and has nothing to do with any other film.” The production house also reiterated its confidence in the project and confirmed that the release plans will remain unchanged. “We have poured our hearts into making this film and we sincerely look forward to welcoming audiences to theaters on June 5 for a fun family experience.” He concluded by saying, “See you at the movies.”
The clarification comes at an important time as the film is only a few weeks away from release.
