The film Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role proved to be the biggest grosser at the box office. Since its release in theatres, the film has been breaking all major box office records and setting new standards. The espionage action drama, directed by Aditya Dhar, topped all the charts and emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time.
The film overtook the previous record holder, Jawan (Rs. 622 crore) and grossed over Rs. Earned Rs 636 crore by the end of fourth Saturday. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh’s film achieved the number 1 position without being released in South Indian dubbed languages. Also, unlike Jawan, it is an A-rated film.
Powered by Jio Studios, Dhurandhar is on its way to reach Rs. It will soon become the first Bollywood film to do so by earning Rs 700 crore. This huge figure is expected to be crossed by next week.
Talking about the highest grossing Bollywood movies of all time, 7 movies have grossed more than Rs. 500 crore nett in India, while three of them are in the Rs. 300 crore to Rs. 400 crore club.
