Actor Vivek Oberoi has spoken about the situation in Dubai amid the ongoing tensions related to the Israel-Iran conflict. After Lara Dutta shared her viewpoint earlier, Oberoi also took to social media to address her fans and followers, and highlighted the UAE government’s efforts in supporting residents during the situation.

The actor also shared a note along with a video on Instagram, thanking the leadership and airline staff who helped maintain peace during the stressful period. In the caption, he wrote, “My deepest gratitude to the UAE leadership, frontline heroes and @EmiratesWings for their incredible patronage. It feels good to be back.”
In the video, Oberoi described how the country’s residents felt in recent times. He said, “For all of us from the more than 200 nationalities living here, the UAE is simply home. Over the past few days, as geopolitical tensions escalated, the distance between where I was and where my family was waiting felt greater than ever. Returning to Dubai, I felt a silent story in the eyes of every person on board the Emirates plane.”
Speaking about the flight crew and the emotional atmosphere during the journey, he said, “Hats off to the Emirates crew for maintaining the calm and looking after everyone with a smile despite their fear. As soon as we touched down, the atmosphere changed from calm anxiety to a collective wave of relief. Walking through the terminal, I couldn’t help but burst into tears as I saw daughters throwing themselves into the arms of parents and fathers finally lifting their little ones into the air.”
The actor also spoke about the worry he felt thinking about his children during the trip. “I spent the entire journey with my heart beating, my thoughts solely focused on my children. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Emirates for being the bridge that brought us back together in a world that felt like it was changing, you remained steadfast. Thank you for the protection you held in your wings and for providing the quiet peace we all needed to find our way.”
Expressing gratitude towards the country’s leadership, Oberoi further said, “Today, I am more grateful than ever for the UAE government’s resilience in the face of global uncertainty. Your steady leadership and unwavering peace provided the security we needed to bounce back. You have built a nation that does not just work, but protects.”
He concluded his message by acknowledging the country’s support for Indian residents. “As a proud Indian, on behalf of all Indians based in UAE, thank you for keeping us safe and standing with us instead of meeting from a distance. Thank you.”
