Actress Esha Deol announced the re-release of the film in a video message, calling it “very close to my heart”. He recalled the experience of working with filmmaker Mani Ratnam and co-stars Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi.
“Youth It was a special journey for me,” Deol said, adding that being a part of a youth-centric film that continues to resonate makes the re-release even more meaningful. He also made a reference to the Tamil version of the film, which featured Suriya in one of the lead roles.
