Zootopia 2 China Box Office: Disney film ranks second among highest-grossing Hollywood films, behind only Avengers: Endgame

Zootopia 2 is wreaking havoc at the box office. The animated film is performing very well in the US and global markets, especially China. The film has grossed over US$393.6 million in its 10-day theatrical run in China, with an impressive US$59 million on its second Saturday. The film has surpassed the lifetime earnings of Avengers: Infinity War (USD 359.5M), Furious 7 (USD 390.9M) and The Fate of the Furious (USD 392.8M), and has become the second highest-grossing Hollywood film of all time at the Chinese box office.

The film has already earned US$11.4 million from second Sunday pre-sales, the biggest advance booking ever. The film has already entered the US$400 million club, including record pre-bookings on the second Sunday. The film is expected to register another solid day at the box office today.

Based on current trends, the film will end up adding US$110–120 million in its second weekend in China, marking a decline of about 45 to 50 percent from the opening weekend. Zootopia 2 is behind only Avengers: Endgame in China. For the record, the MCU film topped the Chinese box office with a gross of US$632.1 million. It remains to be seen whether Zootopia 2 can surpass Endgame or not.
