Ajay Devgan is reportedly reuniting with director Rajkumar Gupta for Raid 3, as the third installment of the successful franchise starts taking shape. According to reports, Gupta has started preparations for the film and the shooting of the film is expected to begin by the end of 2026.

Although the producers remain tight-lipped, “The conflict in the third part is bigger than the previous 2 films. The stakes are very high, and the raid will be designed on a grand scale. Ajay Devgan’s character will face a situation unlike anything seen so far in the franchise.” Pre-production is scheduled to begin in mid-2026, after Devgan completes his current film commitments.
Rajkumar Gupta is closely involved in developing the script to preserve the realistic tone that defines the series. Devgan is set to reprise his role as a courageous and sharp Income Tax (or IRS) officer in this new chapter, but the scale and complexity of the story is expected to be greater than ever.
Looking back, Raid 2 took a strong start at the box office – it earned ₹19 crore on its opening day and the net collection reached ₹49.25 crore in its first three days in India. It collected a total of ₹219 crore globally during its theatrical run.
