Avatar: Fire and Ash directed by James Cameron has collected Rs. Pair. The tally touched 1 crore on Thursday, registering a 25 per cent decline. The sci-fi action adventure earned Rs. Earned Rs. Earned Rs 21.55 crore in its third week, taking its total to Rs. Earning Rs 210 crore at the Indian box office.
James Cameron’s film is now in its final stages, which means it will be out theatrically soon. Generally Hollywood films perform best in South Indian states. Since there are half a dozen new releases coming this Pongal/Sankranti week, Avatar 3 won’t be able to hold many screens. Looking at its current trends, the full performance of Avatar: Fire and Ash is likely to close under Rs. 220 crore figure, which is not a bad figure but certainly not satisfactory for a mega-budgeted James Cameron film, that too a part of the Avatar franchise.
The previous film in the franchise, Avatar: The Way of Water, was a huge grosser. It grossed ₹465 crore at the Indian box office in its entire run, which is still the highest gross for a Hollywood film in India. Nevertheless, due to some better trends compared to Way of Water, the third installment also emerged as a clean hit venture.
The box office collections of Avatar: Fire and Ash in India are as follows:
| Day | Total |
| week 1 | Rupee. 128.50 crores. |
| week 2 | Rupee. 60.00 crores. |
| third friday | Rupee. 4.00 crores. |
