Karthi and Malavika Mohanan are all set to share the screen for the first time in the upcoming film Sardaar 2. As the film is set to hit the big screens, IHNS has learned an exclusive and exciting detail about one of the major action set pieces of the film.
According to a source close to the development, Karthi and Malavika will be seen together in a high-octane fight sequence that takes place on a flight. The actors underwent rigorous training to ensure authenticity of the action sequences, including mid-air fights.
The source said, “Malavika Mohanan and Karthi deliver intense action in Sardaar 2, with one of the standout sequences of the film being an actual mid-air stunt in flight. Both the actors gave their best for the action, undergoing rigorous training to ensure that every move looked authentic and thrilling on screen.”
To bring realism to the stunt sequences, the actors are undergoing physical training, rehearsals and extensive stunt preparation. The source also said that Sardaar 2 will be an extraordinary action film that also includes high-speed chases.

Sardaar 2 is the sequel to the 2022 spy action film Sardaar, which starred Karthi in the lead role. Directed by PS Mithran, the film is expected to explore a new case handled by Chandra Bose, also known as Agent Sardar.
As Karthi reprises his dual roles, the film will also see Rajisha Vijayan return as Indrani. Additionally, actors Malavika Mohanan, SJ Suryah, Aashika Ranganath and many others play pivotal roles in the film.
With Sam CS handling the music composition, George C. Williams serving as the cinematographer and Vijay Velukutty handling the editing, the film is shaping up to be a major spectacle. Although the official release date has not been decided yet, the film is expected to release later this year.
Karthi and Malavika Mohanan’s workfront
Karthi was last seen in the lead role in the action-comedy film Va Vaathiyar. Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the film starred Kriti Shetty in the lead role, alongside Shilpa Manjunath, Sathyaraj, Raj Kiran and others in lead roles.
The actor is next expected to be seen in the film Martial opposite Kalyani Priyadarshan.
Meanwhile, Malavika was recently seen playing a lead female role in Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi, the horror-comedy film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and others in pivotal roles.
