Paresh Rawal addresses Hera Pheri 3 delay, clarifies that it is due to technical issues
Foul play remains one of the most iconic comedy franchises in Indian cinema, with Rawal’s Baburao Ganpatrao Apte gaining cult status among fans. When asked about the status of the film, Rawal said firmly, “The rigging will be done 100 percent.” However, he said the delay was caused by technical complications rather than creative disagreements.
Addressing reports of legal trouble and rumors that Akshay Kumar has sued him for Rs 25 crore, Rawal dismissed the controversy in his trademark candid style. He said, “All this that was blown up in the middle that Akshay Kumar has sued me for Rs 25 crores, all this is fine man, this Kachhwa Chaap is like incense sticks.” Through the comment, Rawal indicated that the issue has been blown out of proportion and the public is misunderstanding it. Explaining the reason behind the delay, the actor clarified that the matter is between the producer and Akshay Kumar. He insisted that the issue had nothing to do with him personally and that he was committed to the project. Rawal said that once the technical issue is resolved, the film will be signed and will go ahead without any hindrance.
Paresh Rawal also made it clear that Baburao is at the center of the franchise’s identity. Emphasizing his point he said, “If they go ahead with the idea of rigging without Baburao, it will be a disaster.” His statement underlined the importance of the character and his deep connection with the audience.
