Actor Akshay Kumar has started the next schedule of his upcoming film with filmmaker Anees Bazmee, marking a significant step in their much-awaited reunion after almost 15 years. The actor recently shared that he is heading to Kerala for a beautiful outdoor shoot with co-star Vidya Balan.

Taking to social media, Akshay posted a video of his trip and wrote, “Next stop: God’s own country, magical Keralam. Anees Bazmee’s next film is my 4th film with the fabulous Vidya Balan and I hope our good fortune continues.”

The project marks Akshay Kumar’s reunion with Anees Bazmee after their 2011 collaboration Thank you. It brings him back on screen with Vidya Balan for the fourth time after their previous successful pairings.

First,  It was reported that the upcoming film is being developed as a Hindi adaptation inspired by the original premise of the Telugu hit Sankranti Vasthunam. A source told us, “Anees and Akshay loved the story of the lead character torn between his wife and his ex-girlfriend, on which Sankranti Vasthunam runs. However, the original had too much of a Telugu flavour. To make the film entertaining for Hindi audiences, Anees Bazmee is re-imagining the film while keeping the core plot intact.”

The Kerala schedule is expected to include major outdoor sequences as part of the film’s narrative progression. The project has already garnered interest due to the creative reunion between Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee, whose earlier collaboration was well received.

Meanwhile, currently Akshay Kumar is seen ghost banglaDirected by Priyadarshan and co-starring Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vamika Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar and Tabu. The film, which released on April 16, registered a strong collection of ₹65.25 crore in its opening weekend and continues to benefit from a positive response.
