Malayalam movie Chhath Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is finally releasing in theaters now. This action-comedy sports drama, which released on Thursday (January 22), has taken a great start at the box office. According to estimates, the film has earned more than Rs 20 crore. 3.75 crores on first day at Kerala box office.
Chhath Pacha has emerged as the biggest opener of 2026 in Kerala. It recorded a better opening than many star-led 2025 Malayalam films. For those unaware, the film has left behind the opening day collections of Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam (Rs 3.25 crore), Mammootty’s Bazooka (Rs 3.25 crore), Kalyani Priyadarshan’s (Rs 3.25 crore). Chhatha Pacha, starring Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Visakh Nair and Ishaan Shaukat in lead roles along with Siddique, Milan Mathew, Lakshmi Menon and other actors in supporting roles, garnered positive buzz among the audience. The result is that the film is seeing excellent performance even on the second day. If it manages to maintain the momentum, it will post an impressive total by the end of the 4-day extended opening weekend. Since the fifth day (Monday) is the Republic Day holiday, the film has enough potential to become a huge success in its first five days of theatrical release.
